Shalimar Backwaters: Spring Surf, Inshore & Bottom Fishing Adventure

One for the books today! I had the pleasure of taking Soundarya out for some backwater fishing in Shalimar, FL this spring. We set off in the late afternoon, greeted by perfect weather conditions that promised a great time on the water. The backwaters around Shalimar are always a treat, offering a mix of opportunities for surf fishing, inshore fishing, and bottom fishing. As we headed out, I was excited to show Soundarya some of my favorite spots in this beautiful area.

As the sun began to dip lower, we switched to bottom fishing, hoping to entice some of the area's famous bottom-dwellers. While we didn't land any trophies on this run, every cast and minute on the water was worth it. We wrapped up the trip with great memories and smiles all around!
