Epic Yellowfin Battle: Shalimar's Spring Inshore Adventure

What a day we had out on the water in Shalimar, FL! I took Ashish out for a Test Rate Card One trip with Ashish Test Company, and March didn't disappoint. We kicked off at 10:00 am, ready to see what the inshore waters had in store for us. March is a great time for fishing around here, with the waters warming up and the fish getting more active.

We mixed it up with bottom fishing, live bait fishing, and casting some artificial lures. The partly cloudy skies made for comfortable conditions, and the water was great for fishing. We tried a few different spots, and it paid off big time. The highlight of the day was when Ashish hooked into a monster Yellowfin Tuna. That fish put up one heck of a fight, but Ashish stayed cool and worked it like a pro. When we finally got it in the boat, it measured a solid 42 inches - a real trophy catch!

The tuna was definitely the star of the show, but we had plenty of other action throughout the day. The bottom fishing kept us busy, and we had some good hits on the artificial lures too. It's always fun to switch up techniques and see what works best. Ashish picked up the different methods quickly, and we had a blast trying out different spots and seeing what would bite.
